What is Skype for Companies, and how does it work?

Microsoft’s 365 range of products includes Skype for Companies. The complete Skype for Business client is not included in all Office 365 plans. Skype for Business Basic is included in these plans at no extra charge. Skype for Business is a user-friendly interface that lets users connect through text chat, voice calls, video calls, and online meetings. Skype for Business can be accessed from almost any Windows PC or mobile computer (Lync on Macs and mobile devices), on campus, or from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection.

What exactly do you mean when you say “Skype-to-Skype” communication?

A direct connection between the two Skype for Business clients for the purposes of voice, video, talk, and/or desktop sharing is referred to as Skype-to-Skype contact. Due to the fact that Skype-to-Skype contact does not use the campus or public telephone network, calls can currently only be made to other Skype for Business users.

Is it important for me to pay for Skype for Business?

Skype is free to use, but Skype for Business is not. For smaller businesses, there are two basic plans to choose from.
